Cosmetic Dentistry
In today’s modern dental practice, there is no reason why someone should have to live with crowded, misaligned, or broken teeth. We even have the ability to transform stained and damaged teeth into a beautiful and healthy smile!
Tooth Whitening
Many of us feel that our smiles are most striking when our teeth look especially white, but unfortunately, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and tobacco can leave behind ugly stains. Bleaching uses a solution that is applied to teeth that have discolored. The solution may be activated by light. When the procedure is finished, it results in whiter teeth! In another bleaching system, you can use the solution for one hour a day and achieve the desired results within several weeks. Please contact us today to find out more about these options and which one is best for you.
Porcelain crowns and inlays
Porcelain inlays, onlays, and crowns are an excellent, conservative solution to cavities, reduced chewing strength, and general degeneration of the teeth. Virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth, inlays and onlays discreetly restore teeth to an optimal state of health. They resemble natural teeth so closely that only you will know the truth. To find out if inlays, onlays, or porcelain crowns are right for you, please contact us today.
Lumineers
Lumineers are hard porcelain shells that adhere to your own teeth. They make a great alternative to crowns or caps. They have the ability to perfect your smile through hiding chips, correcting crooked teeth and making your smile even and uniform.
Lumineers last longer than traditional bonding and are very natural looking and easy to apply.
Bonding
If you are looking for a painless and easy way to correct broken, stained, or misaligned teeth, bonding may be for you. Bonding involves applying a tooth-colored resin to your tooth that is then layered and polished to match your tooth color. Bonding is a quick way to restore your smiles brilliance.
Reconstructive Dentistry
If you have missing or damaged teeth you know how it can affect your appearance. The open spaces between teeth can also cause serious problems such as shifing of existing teeth, decay, and problems with chewing or speaking. There are several ways to correct this problem, by speaking with our staff we can help you decide which one is right for you.
Implants
Implants are used to replace one or more teeth by implanting man-made roots into your jaw. They can be used in conjunction with bridges or dentures for multiple teeth.
Crowns
Commonly called caps, crowns are covers that are created by your dentist to fit over a tooth to conceal damage or stains. They assist in lessening the discomfort caused by the damage. Crowns can improve your smile and make your tooth less susceptible to injury or further damage.
Bridges
Bridges are permanent artificial replacement teeth that are anchored to your existing teeth. These work well when only a few teeth are missing.
Dentures
Dentures are available in full or partial sets and are artificial, natural-looking teeth that are created in a plastic frame that rests on your gums. Customized dentures can be attached to implants that set the tooth or teeth in place. Dentures are long lasting and have a very natural appearance.
Traditional Dentistry
Tooth-Colored Fillings
In the past, fillings were commonly made of metal and were often unsightly. Modern dentistry technology offers the ability to use a durable resin or porcelain that is bonded to your teeth for a more natural and durable result.
Root Canal Therapy
The roots of our teeth consist of long strands of dental pulp, the is the system that provides the teeth with nutrients and nerves and these extend deep into the root of the tooth. If this part of your tooth is injured or becomes infected the nerve of the tooth may die. Root canal therapy helps to save the damaged tooth. This procedure is performed under anesthesia, the dentist will drill through the tooth’s crown, the infected or damaged parts are removed and the tooth is permanently sealed.
Gum Disease
Periodontal or gun disease can cause more than just an unattractive smile; it also causes tooth loss and if left untreated can lead to serious illness called gingivitis. In the beginning, periodontal disease is caused by toxic bacteria that are found in plaque on your teeth, and then these bacteria will attack the gums tissue.
Warning signs for gum disease can include red swollen gums, excessive bleeding, and tenderness. If the disease is caught early we are able to reverse some of the damage. If you think that you may be showing the signs of gum disease, please contact us for a consultation.
TMJ/TMD
TMDs, or temporomandibular disorders, can involve a variety or combination of problems including, chewing, jaw pain, or problems with the teeth.
Symptoms can include the following:
Sounds such as popping, grinding or clicking that may or may not be painful. Any of these sounds may indicate a problem and could require treatment.
